The one quality of yours that stands above all during this process is RESPONSIVENESS. I had talked to 2 other home dealers prior to calling you. One, in Yuma, was friendly and helpful and I had planned to buy from him. I had even driven down to see him in person to assure him that I was a serious buyer but would have many questions because the manufactured home world was new to me. But, as I had additional questions (none of which were more than I asked you), his responsiveness dropped off. That's when I decided to call other dealers, even if they were much farther away. I expected the distance to be a problem if I needed to visit the dealer but I was willing to accept that rather than deal with someone who did not show me the respect a customer deserves.
As a retired Program Management Engineer for a defense contractor, I have been directly involved in writing and negotiating many contracts, large and small. My takeaway from my experience is that "clear, honest and timely communication" is key to both sides being satisfied in any negotiation. Both buyer and seller deserve to be treated with respect. No one side superior to the other. These qualities are what I felt existed between you and I as we discussed my home purchase and I thank you for it and am confident these will continue throughout this process.
In addition to you being very responsive to my questions, It was obvious that you listened well as your answers were on point to the questions I asked and not overly bloviating with more information than I needed.
Additionally, your actions to reach out to transport people and other subcontractors to give me an idea of additional costs I will incur as part of my purchase, made me even more confident that you were a salesperson with extensive knowledge and skill in the home buying process.
